People associate barbecues with social and family occasions with lots of hearty food and drink. By transferring this to your outlet and giving your customers the concept of a big social occasion eating outdoors, you’ll be onto a winner. Attracting in larger groups and families will increase covers and indeed spend per head.

Devise a kids summer themed menu and offer a meal, drink and an ice cream at a set price.

Offer the kids a game pack or colouring book and crayons to keep the younger family members amused and ensure the parents are happy too! Don’t forget to offer Heinz Tomato Ketchup and Heinz Mayonnaise on the side and even a cocktail menu – fruit or alcohol based to suit all taste buds. It all adds to creating a relaxed and fun environment that will keep families coming back time after time.

HP Grilling SauceNew Yorker chicken sandwich

INGREDIENTS
10tbsp HP Grilling Sauce
10 chicken breasts
2tbsp sunflower oil
Serves 10
20 streaky bacon rashers
10 ciabatta rolls
300g sliced Cheddar cheese

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 200˚C, fan 180˚C, Gas 6.
  2. Heat a griddle until hot, drizzle the chicken breasts with the oil and season well.
  3. Griddle on both sides and finish cooking in the oven.
  4. Meanwhile grill the bacon rashers until crispy.
  5. To assemble cut each roll in half, spread with half tablespoon of HP Grilling Sauce, top with a sliced chicken breast, two rashers of bacon and 30g cheese.
  6. Place under a hot grill to melt the cheese, then top each with half tablespoon HP Grilling Sauce and roll lids, serve with crisps

Heinz BBQ SauceSouthern slaw

A classic side with a twist – Simply stir 50g of Heinz BBQ Sauce into 500g of prepared coleslaw or a tangy twist.

Mini Burgers served with Camp fire Beans or Finger Lickin’ Chicken with Chunky Chips – sure to be a hot favourite!

Crispy glazed wedges

Spread Jacket wedges evenly on baking sheet,brush with Heinz BBQ Sauce and cook until crisp. Why not double dip and serve with a pot of BBQ Sauce in a ramekin on the side.

HP Steak SauceCamp fire beans

500g Heinz Beanz
100g HP Steak Sauce

Pour Heinz Beanz into a saucepan with the HP Steak Sauce and bring to a simmer. Remove and serve with soft flour tortillas.
